Avalanche at Bridal Veil Falls

When did this happen? We have visited Bridal Veil Falls several times this winter and never heard anything about an avalanche. I mean somebody should warn us that the "Warning Avalanche Danger" signs we always ignore are real. We hear about avalanches, we know they happen, I mean we live in Utah right? But in a place that I actually go to? That little wading pond at the bottom – totally buried. That brand new boardwalk and guardrail they installed a couple of years ago – a hunk of twisted metal hanging over the river. I guess we only hear about the ones that hurt somebody. Yikes!
